   Merla deliberately sends no push notifications and no reminder emails. You see your pets every day; the app shows you what is due when you open it.

   Due dates arise only from real data: from a medication's schedule, a vaccination's valid-until date and a care plan's schedule. There are no loose reminders to create and forget.

   Overdue items sit at the top of the dashboard marked in red, and past days can be logged late in the calendar.
